FL Is Disconnecting my MIDI when I press play

I just got FL 21 on my laptop and whenever I plug my MIDI controller and press play to record something, a green and white question mark flash at the top left corner of my screen and then my MIDI controller disconnects from my laptop entirely. I have to unplug and plug in the controller for it to turn on again.

Now I have FL 20 on my desktop PC and I have never encountered a problem like this.

I approached setting my MIDI controller up on my laptop for FL 21 the same way I would on my desktop PC for FL 20.

I checked the Debug and it’s giving me a code that reads “Absolute 0%: SYSEX.

Can someone please help, as this situation is very frustrating.
