https://www.image-line.com/support/flstudio_online_manual/html/fformats_save_export.htm#commandline_export wrote:See here for some ways to launch a command prompt in Windows. This allows you to batch-process project and MIDI files.
Syntax
- Rendering to an audio file (example: FL.exe /R /Emp3 /Fc:\MyProjects)
/R[filename] /E (Missing [format]) /F [project.flp] (Syntax error. Should be /F[project.flp])
Options
/R: render project.flp to an audio file. The optional filename parameter (extension is ignored) specifies the output filename. If no filename is specified, it renders to project.wav.
/E: specify wich format you want to export to, separated by commas. Example: /Emp3,ogg,wav
/F: specify a source folder. All .flp files in this folder will be rendered. Example: /Fc:\MyProjects
Syntax
- Rendering to a MIDI file (example: FL.exe /M /Fc:\MyProjects)
/M
Options
/M: render all flp files in the folder to MIDI files.
- You can't process MIDI files. Only to MIDI files.
- It's best not to use a colon (":") when they're used for drives.
- Syntax -> /E is missing description
- Does it process .zip files as well? If not, maybe add it?
- It doesn't specify what formats are allowed. Are there any besides the examples?
- Can it only render with FL.exe (32bit)? What about FL64.exe (64bit)?
- "If no filename is specified, it renders to project.wav" does that mean it inherits the original project file name or does it render to
- "project.wav"
- "project(1).wav"
- "project(2).wav"
- ...
- Drive letters are capital letters.
- The commands should (could) be lower case letters, right?
- Can /r and /m be used at the same time? And or just or?
- /m... Where does it take the notes? How does it assemble the midi file? Per Channel, per Playlist track or what?
- /m... How does it name the files? Same as /r? Or does it use the Channel names?
- Where do the files get rendered to? What about sub-folders? Maybe add an extra command like /s for the save location?
This seems like big fuzz for a (probably) rarely used function, but... I reformatted it to the following, so everyone is able to understand:

Command line export options
See here (https://www.google.com/search?q=command+line+windows) for some ways to launch a command prompt in Windows. This allows you to batch-process FL Studio project files (.flp).
Syntax:
- /r - Render to audio file.
- /m - Render to MIDI file.
- /e - Specify the output format, separated by commas. Note: This is only used with /r.
- /f - Specify the source folder. All .flp files in this folder will be rendered. [More info needed here.]
Examples:
FL.exe /r /e[Output format] /f[Folder location]
Code: Select all
FL.exe /r /ewav,mp3 /fC:\Program Files(x86)\Image-Line\FL Studio 12.4.2\Data\Projects
FL.exe /m /f[Folder location]
Code: Select all
FL.exe /m /fC:\Program Files(x86)\Image-Line\FL Studio 12.4.2\Data\Projects

Ps:
- If you don't like to write more info on this subject into the help file please break off this post and make it a topic in the Tech Support forum.
- I'm not asking these questions just for fun.
- I'll gladly change the suggestions into real feature requests... after you tell me that it is possible to do. There's no point in it if it's not even do-able.
- That'll be all. Thank you.
