Assigning multiple outs to audio interface

Hi,

I am looking at upgrading my audio interface to use one that allows for multiple outs so that I can assign separate tracks and record them into an 8-track reel to reel or cassette recorder.

I am pretty sure FL Studio will let me assign independent tracks to their own specific output but was wondering if anyone on the forum does this and whether their have been issues? Having the ability to separate drums, bass, etc before recording to tape will give me more options when mixing down and having them synced before recording in the 8-track will prevent tape drag and timing issues.

I was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for a good audio interface that will allow for this? My 8-track can record 4 tracks at once and I'm looking at getting an audio card that will allow for 4 outs.
