FL Studio freezes and crashes when trying to switch soundcard device

Hello, my problem is that normally I use my Lexicon Alpha as default soundcard device, works fine,
but when I go to college, and I switch my device to asio4all when my Lexicon Alpha is not connected, Fl studio freezes and crashes.
What I have to do then is to reset the settings of whole FL Studio (Start menu -> Image Line -> Reset settings), which is kinda annoying, because I have to set everything in the program again.
This doesn't happen if I change the soundcard to asio4all when the Lexicon Alpha is still connected, but It's very annoying, because I have to start FL Studio and change the audio device all the time I take my laptop somewhere else from my Lexicon Alpha and it is so easy to forget to do it.
Anyone else has this problem? Any solutions? Thanks
