No signal from microphone in mixer....HELP!

hey guys can any one help me out with a problem im having recording vocals in fl studio 12 please. i used to get a signal when recording vocals with my Audio Technica AT2035 microphone but somehow it stopped picking up the mic out of the blue. i thought maybe the mic itself had stopped working so i tried using a samson condenser mic which has a blue power light that comes on when its plugged in, but i still had the same problem..(no signal in the mixer....and no blue light). i use the m-audio m-track 2x2 to do my recordings so i know the interface works fine and still does. i tried using a regular karaoke mic just to see if there was a signal and i got a signal when i plugged it in. switched to my AT2035 again and same thing happened (no signal) if anyone has a solution for this it would be much appreciated if you could let me know. thanks...
ps ...would rebooting my computer fix this problem or is it just something i may have done in fl studio that messed it up
