cant drag audio files into playlist

I have been using fl studio 20 now for about 3 months. i have the producer edition. and now suddenly i cannot drag audio clips from my browser into the playlist. I have been doing it with no problems the last 3 months and then tonight it stopped letting me do it.
yes i have de selected the run as administrator button but still nothing. please help me!!
