Loading Songs causes freezing

I am unable to load any of my projects( I've tried 3 different projects ). Everytime I try to load a project it will start loading the sound files associated with the project and then eventually crash, at this point my computer wont even responded to Ctrl+Alt+Delete( or Alt+Tab) and my entire computer freezes.
