cant open .flp file

Ive recently purchased fl studio producer edition. Now ive got a Problem where i cant open .flp files. when i click the file my pc asks me if i want it to start on fl studio 32 or 64 bit (i have 64 bit).When i press 64 nothing happens. maybe its worth knowing that those files dont have the flp icon on them anymore. pls help
