MP3 files will not play when imported into fl studio files

Hi, I have downloaded mp3 files which play normally if I select them through the file explorer or in any method outside of fl studio, however when I try to play them within fl studio or use them in a project they are not working.

I got the mp3 files through converting youtube files into mp3 files.

I tried the solutions posted in the thread linked below, however they did not help.

I did not have this problem in the past, and do not know what caused it.

Should I try reinstalling FL studio?
