Send Master Sync Causes a Delay

I've searched twice, excuse me if this has been covered.

When I activate "Send master sync" in the midi settings dialog, I encounter a small delay when starting fl's sequencer. Not so much of a problem, except when recording, the first beat of the count in is usually skipped, or partially skipped, and just really messes with my timing.

Is there any fix for this. Please don't say turn master sync off. I need master sync to sync an external midi arpeggiator. Any and all help would be appreciated.

EDIT: I am also observing this skipped first beat if I merely assign a port number to a midi output, with or with out Send master sync enabled.
