Side chaining problem

Hi guys,

I've been side chaining ''the right way'', meaning everything is done by putting a a Limiter(compressor) on each channel and routing it with the kick by choosing ''sidechain to this channel)

Here's the problem:

I attach my Mixer and is shows how all the channels are side-chained with the kick.
Everything works gr8 and sidechains well, but i cannot add effects....No reverb or delay or anything. If i do it adds it to the kick....
Also i cannot put it in the send channel because you hear the effects on the kick then as well.....

How can i side-chain then without any effects affecting the kick?

Is there a trick?

Thanks so much!

(if my side-chaining methird does not make sense, i got it from here: )
