Default midi settings

Hiya,
I have the Behringer CMD modules and some of the default functions are repeated across the modules, Fair enough as you don't know which combination of modules people will buy. But i am having trouble reassigning those functions as now I'm getting the default function and the newly learnt function working together, in other words the newly learnt function isn't overriding the default function. Is there a work round this or do i have to wait for an update(I'm assuming its on the update to do list)

I apologize if this has been asked before but i couldn't find it anywhere else but as I'm not used to this forum i could easily have missed it.

Is there a time when the update is expected, i can guess the answer to this question but i thought i would ask anyway.
