Doesn't sound as much like a mandolin no, but it does sound good of itself. A little bit of a dobro type tone to it to my ears, which is nice..steevm wrote:New version is up with the updated cover art.
Futzed around with the mandolin impulses. Not sure I got as good a result as DT did. Not sure I really care too much either, already started on some other tracks. I'm thinking that I'll give it another listen in a while (i.e. before Gloomy's Xmas present is due), and see whether I want to redo the "mandolin" completely; restore the original acoustic sound; leave it as is; do something in between.
