Calling Your Name | (Updated 18 Jan 2022) | New Wave of Danceable Upbeat Darkwave

Track is now available on spotify, YouTube yadda yadda.

The YT version is here, but there's no video, it's just the static image. Boring, I know.

Thanks to everyone here and elsewhere who provided valuable feedback. The Soundcloud links all go to the final release version of the track. Original post below for context.

Been working on this for a while now. People seem to find it quite danceable/groovy. Some kinda New Wavey thing with some more modern wavetable synths rather than just using subtractive ones.

Still making some tweaks, but the bulk of the track is done.

Verse
Bb Fm Ab Eb
Bb Fm Ab Cm
Bb Fm Ab Eb
Bb Fm Ab Cm Bb Ab

Chorus
Eb Bb Fm Ab
I want to see the lake of fire
That would just be bliss
Want to build a funeral pyre
And light it with a kiss
Indulgement of a wild desire
But with a little twist
The dawning of a new empire
But that would be amiss, be amiss, be amiss
And then they're calling your name

They're calling your name (your name)

Want to set your world on fire
That would just be bliss
Indulge me in my wild desires
But with a little twist
Place you on your funeral pyre
And light it with a kiss
Can you hear the angel's choir?
But nothing is amiss, is amiss, is amiss
I hear them calling your name

They're calling your name (your name)
