Alright, alright. That was a clickbaity title. I'm sorry!
I wanted to prove a point to a friend that that typical Latin reggaeton music is very simple to make. Take a spanish guitar, a major key, the famous "4 chords", that snare drum pattern, a cheesy middle 8 and you're there. What do you think? Am I being too harsh. Is it really this simple or does the genre really have something interesting in it?
To be completely honest; I don't hate the genre. It's incredibly catchy and fun. It works. Don't get me wrong. I just think the genre could benefit from bringing in some more interesting things instead of copying each other over and over again. What are your thoughts?
