This request is quite simple - I dont use icons at all and they take up unnecessary space on the mixer for me!
I usually have to remove the icons from all my audio clips before linking them.
Secondary Request - Option to disable the auto-assigning of icons, e.g. to audio clips when you drop them in the playlist.
