The pattern feature is useful in many ways, but I like to really mix up my beats throughout the songs, and having to make an individual pattern for each and every change I want to include is exhausting. In other DAWs I can just open up a piano roll in a track, apply an instrument to said track, and run with it. I feel like by not offering this feature, FL makes the freedom to create flexible music so unnecessarily complicated.
Could someone also please answer for me, is there a way to apply a track to the mixer, or can you really only add channels?
Could we please have the ability to freely arrange in Tracks, rather than only being limited to patterns.

you can use instrument tracks.
