I often wish I had a "pitch shifter" effect that I could drop onto a channel, which would shift the pitch (NB not the frequency) of the sound up or down an octave (or up 7 semitones or whatever) and then blend that in with the dry signal. I'd use this to add sharpness to my lead by cloning the sound up an octave, or to fatten my bass by cloning it down an octave - like, subtly, behind the main, dry signal.
Ideally I'd like to be able to add several of these clones. For example: +12st, +19st, +24st, +28st (a harmonic series); all blended in with the dry signal.
When working with samples you can achieve this by copying the sampler channel and transposing the pitch by the required amount, but it would be great to be able to do it in an effect so it would work with any input signal.
Is this possible already, with Wave Shaper or something? If so, I'll to do the walk of shame into Looptalk. If not, please can we have an FX plugin to do it?
