Hide "children" in layer

I would like a way to hide/unhide children of a layer. After selecting and the lights turn green then you can right click, after children selected, and simply hide them. This would reduce visual clutter. I know a lot of producers like to layer their drums, so any features to help with this are greatly appreciated. Thank you. e.g. hide layer 2, 7 and 14 in the file attachment example. Or a small corner tab on the lower right of the dark layer button. If you click it it hides the children and if you click it again it unhides them. The triangle looks like folding the corner on a piece of notebook paper to bookmark it.
