pattern mode feature request

Hi It would be great if when recording an instrument in pattern mode that the other instruments kept looping even when the recording instrument's pattern is longer. If this could be fixed then it would be really good. For example if a drum pattern is only 1 or 2 bars in length like FPC patterns, but I am recording a lead in pattern mode, the FPC drums fade out after their pattern is done. i think this occurs in playback only. The current work around is to go to song mode and transfer everything over. Maybe the new enhancements in song mode will work better for this? i dont know.
