replace port in and out to a right click menu

Hi

I previously thought it would be good to bring the ports in and out to the front at the top which would be quicker. But now Im thinking, what if the ports in and out were replaced with a right click menu send to....or receive from...?

Or what about showing some sort of patch cable link to remind us that plugins are interfacing?

Also I may have mentioned but it would be great if when replacing an instrument the port in and out settings were left alone. This would make our arpeggio plugin setups easier to work with instead of always having to set the ports when replacing etc.
