I never use duck or pump automation on mixer track because i use ducking in creation stage. When i mix after i have to create a bus for to change volume or to change the automation.
But, if we can place a kind of relative variable. the original input value don't change. only the result.
If we do like this we can automate everything in the mixer in the creation stage and adjust the volume without editing the automation, create bus or insert gain plugs.

input = automation
a function standar is "input" for use a complete simple automation
Example B (Feature request)
input = automation
init = initial knob or fader value.
use "init*input" and voila, a perfect mix between automation and initial value.
