When using instrument tracks, it would be logical for naming, muting, volume, pan etc should be synchronized across the channel rack, the playlist and the mixer. Then channel rack can be kept for whatever legacy reasons but you don't have to rename your instrument three times to be consistent nor have to flip around multiple windows to figure out where something is muted.
