Hi a very useful update would be to allow us to select the note to be input into the step sequencer before selecting individual steps using a keyboard press or typing keyboard press. pressing the key will select the note pitch then using the mouse (or preferably the typing keyboard) will enter that note into the 16 (or more) steps. See Rolands TR sequencer in the new Fantom for the idea.
Or if you can just allow step edit mode to work while playback is going that would be cool
