- Polyphonic aftertouch. A big one IMO, with the parameters of one note being controllable in isolation I think you could get really expressive with a recorded MIDI performance (or a sequenced one? if a decent way to sequence this is also somehow found and developed)
- Higher resolution CC and velocity. It tends to be rare at the moment but there are times where I can hear some sharp steps in a CC event, even if it's drawn very smoothly. 128 values is little and it was already little in 1983. Besides, imagine how drastic we could go with the effects of one CC if it didn't come at the price of jumps in the audio?
