Many times i right click that channel button hoping there's a "save channel state" entry with the usual drag/drop icon but nope.
Then as last hope I open the channel's option menu (down arrow), I finally find the option
... but there's no way to drag and drop. 
Really, this has happened dozens of times and I still search for it.
