Mixer Insert A/B Option

Why?

In CPU-heavy projects, it's useful to export stems. In dense projects, often I ultimately end up using the 'split mixer tracks' render option to create both dry and wet stems.

Now, what I would do normally is reset track inserts to default and re-assign the wet track. Difficulty arises when I find something in that original processing chain wasn't working. When this happens I would re-import the dry stem. You then have the issue of replicating the original FX chain.

This can be achieved by saving FX chains as presets. However, suppose you have 100 mixer tracks each treated differently. It's a bit impractical. I'm therefore suggesting a mixer insert A/B option.

How would this work?

By providing the option to store the previous FX chain in a spare when re-setting a mixer track to the 'default'. If this was an option which could be turned on/off in settings it would be very handy. Of course, it would need to be a process which did not hit the CPU.
