We are at a point where you have to increase the PPQ guys.
I know you can do it in project settings but the power consumption is way too high!
My suggestion:
A dynamic PPQ approach would be 24 when fully zoomed out and you can increase further up to a safe point 96 or 144,
Then with click and roll the mouse to increase further up to 960, this way there would be no sudden increase of CPU cycles when playing back for example and you could save some CPU cycles when you need them for mastering applications.
If you made this as a Dynamic PPQ mode so anyone can reverse back to normal behavior.
Or Dynamic PPQ 1/2 where you can have the mode mentioned above as 1 and in second mode: you can have only 24 to 96ppq to save also cycles but within the current values.
