drag and drop midi files replace each other

I know everybody knows and groans about how when you drop a midi file into a pattern it replaces everything that was already in there but I have one question: WHY IN THE NINE CIRCLES OF FLORIDA HAS IMAGE LINE NOT DONE ANYTHING ABOUT IT?!!!!!! is there some hidden setting that turns all of that off? because if so I would like to know about it. besides, I just bought the unison midi chord pack, and chaining individual chords together should be as easy as dropping two midi files into the pattern. BUT NOOOOOO, THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE!! this is a change that I think everyone can benefit from. maybe it could be as simple as holding alt while dragging files in to chain them together and not holding alt when you want them to replace each other. all the other daws have caught on, why not FL? (if it turns out I just missed something I'm gonna feel really stupid)
