Hello!
I and many others are using SoundID Reference (earlier known as Sonarworks Reference) which is a headphone and speaker correction software/plugin. Now if I want to use it with FL studio with my audio interface I have to put the plugin to the master channel as the last plugin of the chain. This is okay but when I do this it messes up the metering (because of the EQ boosts and cuts it makes to correct). I can't be sure about how loud my music is because I can't trust the master metering db meter. For example I think that I am clipping but actually the correction makes the signal clip and when it is not active everything is okay. Other scenario I think that I am not clipping and when I bypass the correction plugin when exporting suddenly my music comes out a way louder that I knew.
SOLUTION:
It would be great if FL studio would have a listen bus like in Studio One so I could load the correction plugin to that bus and it would only affect what I am hearing but not the actual signal in master.
Other solution would be that we could decide that master metering would happen in some point of the master chain like this for example:
Inserts:
EQ
Compression
(FROM THIS POINT METERING)
Sound ID reference correction plugin
I hope I was clear enough with my explanation. Thank you!
