Is It possible to allow FLS to read plugins that only contain .Vst3 files in custom locations?

I try to keep all my samples and virtual plugins in one place (my external HDD) as I don't have much eternal space on my computer to store them. I usually dont have this problem with most VST plugins I have, but there are a few and I barely have space on my computer's internal memory for them. I'd rather not be forced to keep them in the Common Files/VST3 folders long term if possible.

Hopefully this is not too intrusive of a question, but is there a reason why FL is only set up to find .VST3 files in common files folders while it has the option to find the other types of VST in any custom location you set?
