Bug/flaw: Consolidation of the first track in a group ruins the group

For lack of better wording, sorry.

If you consolidate the first track in a group, which is generally the case, the consolidated audio becomes the new "group"-master track. There is then no way of deleting this track without flattening the group. This is an issue as for instrument tracks you generally have your MIDI information on the first track and automation in the group. For audio tracks the recording options are moved to a sub-track.

What is the reason for placing consolidated audio above the consolidated track instead of as a sub-track? To me it would make more sense to consider the consolidated audio as a sub-track, which would solve this issue and easily allow you to later delete the track.

A related recommendation, which is also an alternative to the above is to include the "group"-master in up/down actions within the group, i.e. allow a sub-track to take the place of the "group"-master.
