Whenever I open a Piano Roll tool I cannot interact with the Piano Roll anymore.
We all took this as a normal behaviour but what if we could still draw/delete/move notes while the tool window is open?
But the one and most annoying thing about these stealing focus is the fact that you cannot even click on the timeline bar to relocate the cursor. Just this small change would help a lot in all those situations when you didn't start playback from the beginning.
What if... (even better) these tools could be embedded into the Piano Roll window? And maybe even customized?
(I'd love to have a Piano Roll Toolbar where I can put the most used tools' parameters, similar to how you can add knobs and faders to Control Surface)
Please, fewer windows and more freedom of interaction.
