This may or not be a great system. What it is now works fine.
Knowing nothing about the actual development side of things here - I have gaming services that will automatically download the newest patch/version whatever.
That may be an issue with people wanting to stay with the version they have then but without having to sign in to re-up my register would take forgot my passwords out of the question for me.
If not do able - it works fine as is.
