I use hotkeys left click audio clip A V all the time to quickly draw volume envelopes for all things audio clip. Would be real cool if a similar hotkey would give me an automation clip defaulting at 50% to draw pitch stuff, not just for fine tuning but for experimenting with more sound designy stuff. Maybe T for tuning to not mess with pre existing "pan" and also not having to reach across the keyboard. Similar to the default automation clip of bpm it could default with
restricted values. so maybe default is within an octave but you could adjust the reach of the automation clip in f6 menu.
Left click audio clip--> automate -> pitch
