As someone working with a lot of orchestral and drum plugins, it would be very helpful to be able rename/label some notes to their Key Switch Function, or what part of the drum kit they trigger.
I understand that this is hard to implement automatically, (even though afaik, there are some DAWs that have this feature) i still think it would be very cool to be able to right click one of the piano keys in the piano roll, and change the color of that columm, and rename it.
What would make this even cooler, would be the ability to save your "labeled keys" as presets which you can drag into the piano roll.
So i could label the drums almost instantly in a drum libary such as superior drummer, after i labeled them once and saved it.
This would make the workflow with plugins like that way easier, for professionals and beginners alike.
