One thing I have always loved about FL, is that it has always been easy on the eyes. I remember trying Cubase 4 at a friends house over a decade ago, and I was really put off by the bright white appearance. However, when I press F1 to learn something on FL, my eyes get toasted. I know that with regards to the user manual specifically, it references images of the various interfaces within FL and its stock plugins which are all 'dark'. So a simple light-grey border/aura around reference images would keep it easy to navigate.
