I have a friend who is going to be a film major and he made a short film for school that is basically a sci-fi/horror from the 50's. I offered to try and do some music for him for the film and he said he wanted a 70's sci-fi sound to it. I'm going to give him 3 samples. A more modern ambient sound, a 70's sci fi sound, and a 50's sci fi sound. I was just wondering if anybody could give me some examples, or point me in the direction of some good movie or tv sci fi soundtracks from the 50's and 70's. Doctor who is an obvious choice, and so is star trek, but neither are very heavy on music.
I would apreciate any help.
