Started this one about half a year ago, and every time I opened it, I recorded some new guitar tracks. The whole thing is a mess of guitar tracks all over the place. That meant it mushroomed into a huge mess and I put it to one side.
I've now re-recorded most of the guitars (

Original, very outdated post follows. This is pretty close to being done. I've kept the original post so you can follow the thread if you want to. The soundcloud links are all to the same track!
I haven't finished all the programming yet. The drums still need some attention and I need to revisit the synth patterns when that's done. Thoughts on the overall business would be very helpful.
Bear in mind that this isn't really mixed, and I do think that some of the parts will need to be made quieter for some of the sections. I think that's contributing to the business in some parts. But I'm wondering if I need to cut some stuff; or, heaven forbid, add something else...
Vox are currently dry apart from some compression (and reverb on the two lines with backing vox).
While it's pretty poppy and upbeat, I found this one interesting musically. The key signature is F, but the verse starts on C and the chorus starts on Bb. I found that lack of a real tonal center gave the whole thing a feeling of freedom, and of swooping up and down like a bird on wind currents. Especially the shift from Bb to C from chorus to verse.
