I've been using a lot of traditional instrument type of sounds lately and this is a slight departure from that. I started out with a synth patch I made from scratch in Harmor and then I ended up adding piano, marimba and upright bass. So much for going all in on synths.

Although, in the spirit of synthetic sounding things, I used a rapid succession of different articulations on the upright bass that are probably possible to perform IRL, but would be pretty clumsy. I also added some distortion and a chorus effect.

On top of all of that I've got a big distorted 808 style sub bass and my patented "Thunder Drums" (totally not patented but my own creation none-the-less). That's what you hear speeding up to tempo in the intro.
