Just over the last couple of days I have started a new project and the sound from FL will seemingly randomly cut out and the only way to get it back is to reload the project. The monitor (master) box at the top of the screen goes completely blank and no sound is produced despite the visual levels on the mixer still showing up. I have tried starting a new project but the issue still persists. It's a new project so the CPU is not being tested at all. What might the issue be?
I'm using a new windows 10 i7 laptop with the Alesis io2 audio interface.

It has now become evident that this issue is occurring when I set up a send from a channel.
