Simple playback question - maybe

I'm using FL Studio for drum backing tracks. I use a foot pedal to start the track but as the song will just keep looping once it reaches the end, I use a Pause time marker to stop it. But then I have to remember to press Stop to get the cursor back to the start. Ideally I want to press my foot pedal to start the track (I use an old PC keyboard spacebar), play with the band to the track, finish the song and next time I press the foot pedal it will start again for the next practice. Not a problem when you open a new file as the cursor is always at the start.

Any thoughts?
