Behavior
Our forums are a space for users of all ages to discuss FL Studio and music production in a respectful environment. While the anonymity of the internet fosters strong opinions, we will maintain a constructive and respectful forum.
Access & Conduct
Access to these forums is a privilege associated with ownership of an Image-Line product - it's not a right. Think of this space as a shared home, where respectful interaction is expected. Treat fellow members and moderators with the same courtesy you would in a professional or social setting.
Moderation & Prohibited Behavior
Moderators (identified by red forum names) enforce these guidelines. Posts containing the following may be locked, deleted, or result in user bans - with or without prior warning:
- Threats – Implied or direct physical threats, or wishing harm on others in any way.
- Harassment & Provocation – Trolling, goading, personal attacks, or deliberately derailing discussions.
- Profanity & Abusive Language – Excessive bad language or verbal attacks in any language.
- Discriminatory Remarks – Any racial, religious, gender-based, or cultural slurs.
- Lewd or Offensive Content – Obscene, vulgar, or sexually explicit material.
- Clickbait & Sensationalism – Unnecessarily confrontational, misleading, or inflammatory posts.
- Excessive Formatting – Posting in ALL CAPS (considered shouting) or other disruptive formatting in titles or messages.
- Sharing Personal Information – Posting sensitive, private, or potentially harmful information about others.
Nagging about removed threads or banned users
Occasionally, moderators may lock or delete threads or temporarily mute users to prevent flame wars or defuse heated situations. There is no need to create new threads questioning the removal of specific posts or users. Such discussions often serve only to reignite the original issues and are viewed by Image-Line management as disruptive. If a thread has been locked, deleted, or a user muted, we expect all involved to move on and continue engaging in positive discussions about FL Studio and music production.
Thread titles
Thread titles are searchable, and so contribute to the ever growing data-base users can research in order to solve their problems. Help! is a dumb title as -
- It provides no clue as to what the issue is.
- Reduces the likelihood that someone with a solution to your problem will answer you. Why should they read a 'Help' post?
- Shows disrespect for other forum users. Without a topic it's forum 'spam'.
Please Use English
Google Translate your post. Short simple sentences in your original language translate best. We are happy to work this way, no need to worry.
Thought crimes
Various words entered in these forums deemed to be unacceptable (oldspeak) will automatically revert to the term acceptable to Image-Line (newspeak). Do not be alarmed, your posts will be 'double plus good' in short order

Sound or project examples
If you are asking for advice about some strange noise, aspect of your sound or music, post some short .mp3 (320 kbps encoded) or a .zip project (if you can).
Sales/Group-buys/For-Sale
While we appreciate the good intentions of those posting of sales, group buys and for-sale posts to competitors products, please realise that these compete for the limited budgets of our customers too. For this reason we view it as impolite to use our forum to advertise them or to conduct your own business.
