World Ablaze | "Good enough" for now | 80s New Wave/Post Punk + "EDM sidechain" on guitars

Edit: Updated 29 April 2018 at 1:00 CET based on feedback here. The SC links all go to the latest version.

What changed:
  • Added chorus to the screechy guitar
  • Chopped 1 chorus to make the song shorter
  • De-esser on all vox; volume automation on vox
  • General EQ and level adjustments and other changes to the overall mix
  • Extra distorted rhythm guitar (left)
  • Slight edits to various parts; nothing major
  • Fixed a few timing issues

Original post follows for context.

New track that is about 90% of the way there in terms of arrangement I think. I'd love a little bit of feedback on the transition to the bridge and back. I think the initial transition is a little weak/empty. The transition back is something I've worked on quite a bit today, which means right now I think it's the bee's knees. Whether I will think the same thing with the benefit of a little distance is another question.

Other general comments on the arrangement would also be nice. I've tried to keep things a bit more varied and interesting with some little rhythmic stuff coming in and out as was all the rage in the 80s for this sort of thing.

The mix is just whatever has happened so far. While I've done some basic tidying up of a few things, I haven't put much thought into it except for trying to fill the stereo field.

So what do you think? Too crazy? Not crazy enough? Needs moar cowbell?

Right now is the moment that you've always been waiting for
Grab it with both hands, you don't need to wait no more

It's our time
It's our place
And we're going to set the world ablaze
It's our time
It's our place
Yes we're going to set the world ablaze

Right here is the place that you've always been heading to
Throw down your marker, make it belong to you

This party is going down
This moment is our atonement
Just seize it, release it
Just seize this moment before it's gone
