Isolating a background

So I'm trying to put together a video for a song of mine, I have the album art as layer 1 so its the background, but because of the way effects work, everything to the right affects everything to the left. So the Bloom and audioshake that I have for the Polars are interacting with the background, and I don't want that. I want the background isolated, with everything completely visible over the top of it. How can I do this? I'm sure this has been asked before but I wasnt sure how to word it in a search bar to find what I was looking for.
