Made the mistake of writing and recording while I was sick. Ah well. Not sure what exactly this sounds like. The wife said "Radiohead", but I'm not convinced. Sounds more American than British in terms of sound to me. What do you think?
Note: This is the same track as the other SC links in this thread; I've posted the link a few times for people who are following the thread, so they don't have to scroll all the time.
The break is a mess, I know. I messed up the recordings, because I hadn't figured out the structure.

She’s running down the freeway
She’s kicking up the dirt
The headlights draw her forwards
She hates him when it hurts
She just knows there are problems on the way
Cos she don’t know why she wakes up every day
And she don’t know what it is she meant to say
But you never know, I might pick you up, see you home and dry
Keep putting up the fight girl
I know you feel the strain
It’s you against the cold world
And though it’s dark, you can see the stain, and I can feel your pain
She knows there are problems on the way
Cos she don’t know why she wakes up every day
And she don’t know what it is she meant to say
But you never know, I might pick you up, see you home and dry
But I know damn well just what I’m doing here tonight
I’ll come and meet you, bring you home and hold you tight
I think it’s time now – your vision’s switched to zoom
You’ve got to wind down – you’re safely in your room
She’s got a paper cut
Been writing love letters tonight
She’s got a deeper cut
To the bone and it doesn’t feel right
She says I love you, but I just can’t stop
Hold me tight, or I might just drop
And then she sighs, I wanted you to know
That I saw clearly, but the darkness dims the glow
She’s still my girl, but sometimes she don’t know
That she is my world, and I will not let her go
Oh she don’t know
Oh she don’t know
I might pick you up, see you home and dry
