Akai Fire: Note velocities are always 100 in fire mode

Setup: FL Studio 20.0.5 x64, Win 10, Akai Fire Controller

Fire Mode
If Akai Fire is configured as controller type "Akai FL Studio Fire" in MIDI settings/Input,
all note velocities are 100 (no velocity sensitivity).

Generic Mode
If Akai Fire is configured as controller type "generic controller" in MIDI settings/Input,
note velocities are received in FL Studio as expected, but most features of the
FL Studio integration are unavailable (of course).

Q1) Is this issue related to the controller product or the FL Studio integration?
Q2) If related to FL Studio, is the issue on the road map to be fixed?
