Mastering

Dynamic Question Here.

I have always used a limiter on my master channel after I have mixed down. I am now looking how to master tracks properly and FLs own master plugin Maximus looks great. (I'm learning it as we speak) My question is, should you use a limiter and maximus on the master channel together or do they in theory both cancel each other out? (Both obviously Compress) I have experimented in lots of different ways trying to find the ''right sound'' but I am never really know what to really listen for.

Thanks for your help.
