I have a Lenovo Thinkpad X201 tablet with an i7 L640 2.13 GHZ CPU with 8GB of RAM
So far, production has been reasonably good. Only for larger productions, e.g. with more elaborate VST plugins like Guitar Rig or EZDrummer2 it has reached its limits and the songs cracked. That's why I decided to buy a new notebook.
Before, I had already exhausted these tips to the last:
https://www.image-line.com/sup...e_manu ... pp_opt.htm
For the purchase I read through the recommendations of Image line:
https://support.image-line.com/action/k ... se?ans=214
There it is supposed to take a CPU with a benchmark over 8000:
Here:
https://www.cpubenchmark.net/high_end_cpus.html
I chose an i7-8550U with 8,300 benchmark,
I ordered a Lenovo Thinkpad L380 YOGA.
Now the problem. The cracking occurs in the new laptop more often than
on my old Thinkpad, whose cpu only has a 2.300 benchmark.
I have already set the energy saving scheme to maximum performance.
On a desktop PC with an i3 chip and a gt710 graphics card
all projects run without cracking. Are the differences between a notebook
and a desktop so serious? I will probably return the new notebook
Does anyone have any advice? Maybe I have something wrong set or yet
in the end, buy a desktop?
