Can't hear sound from microphone when recording

I have plugged in my mic and everything is working fine, the only issue is that I cannot hear the beat I made in the microphone AND the computer at the same time. It's either I listen to it from the computer or the microphone which is really difficult to do since the person recording vocals can't hear the beat, or the person managing FL studio while the other is recording can't hear the beat. It's either one or the other. Please help!!
